JVC Offers Satellite TV System With Dish Network Programming as Prize in McDonald's Promotion

LITTLETON, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 19, 1999-- JVC, EchoStar and McDonald's Restaurants Team Up to Offer Prize Giveaway to Promote Disney's Inspector Gadget EchoStar Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH, DISHP), JVC and McDonald's® (NYSE: MCD) are excited to announce today that DISH Network™ and JVC are offering McDonald's customers the opportunity to win a JVC Digital-VHS satellite entertainment system, including a full year of premium DISH Network programming (some geographic restrictions apply) and a professional installation during a promotion at McDonald's from July 16 - Aug. 12, 1999, tied to the release of Walt Disney Pictures' Inspector Gadget.

McDonald's customers have the opportunity to play McDonald's "QPC Code Name Game™" to win one of 40 complete JVC satellite entertainment systems with DISH Network programming by collecting the letters "J," "V" and "C" found on separate McDonald's game stamps. McDonald's game stamps will be available to all McDonald's customers who order any of the following: Quarter Pounder® with Cheese, Double Quarter Pounder® with Cheese, Large Drink, Large Fries, Super Size® Fries or Hash Browns; and without a purchase by mail.
